Testimonials

It is so lovely to be with a group of like minded women who are non-judgemental and who get what you are going through. Meeting Karen was wonderful and the support of the group was great, it’s like coming home.

Spending the day with others in a similar situation left me feeling uplifted and so much better in myself. I would definitely recommend this to other widows.

I felt anxious at the beginning of the day but I soon felt much more settled. Karen is so welcoming, and by the end of the day I felt relaxed and I had made new friends realising I'm not on my own.

Connecting with others and sharing tips and ideas about how to navigate widowhood has been so helpful and made me feel less alone in my journey. Karen and Debbie’s talks were so informative and thought provoking, I feel I am taking so much away with me as well as some new friends.

I felt very nervous and wasn’t sure I was even going to go but I'm so glad I did, everyone is so lovely and the day itself helps everyone feel welcome and is very sociable. You have inspired me so much and challenged my thinking which has allowed me to reconnect with life.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No, men are more than welcome, however it is predominately women who attend.

  • If you would like to stay overnight at the hotel you are more than welcome to. You can book this directly with the Hotel or through a booking app. Myself and Debbie will both be staying on the Friday night for Dinner, and I know many attendees will also stay on the Saturday night and have dinner together too. However, this isn’t compulsory and if you would rather get home straight after the event, that’s absolutely fine.

  • Yes, my in person events are open to all widows. If your friend is a widow and would like to attend with you, they’re more than welcome to book a place. Please direct them to the link and then just send me an email to let me know.

  • No, it really doesn’t matter what stage you’re at. Some of my attendees are just a few months into their grief journey, whereas others have been working through their grief for years. If you are grieving the loss of a life partner and would like to spend some time with others who truly get it, then please do come along, we would love to see you there.

  • The average age of attendees at my events is somewhere between 40-60. However, I have had widows in their 30s attend as well as those in their 70s. All ages are welcome.

  • Absolutely. If you decide to come by yourself, as many do, you will be well cared for. Whilst you may experience some initial nervousness and apprehension, it won’t take long for those feelings to subside. You’ll be welcomed into the room by some wonderful, like-minded people who understand exactly what you’re going through and you’ll leave with a lot of love and hope in your heart. And some new friends too, to help you along the way.

We can't wait to welcome you with open arms and share in this journey of healing and growth together!
